The launch of Samsung’s upcoming Galaxy Watch 6 series seems imminent, with speculation suggesting that the company will introduce these new smartwatches at the Galaxy Unpacked event in July, alongside the Galaxy Z Fold devices.
Although the official confirmation is still pending, there have been indications of the prices for the Watch 6 series. This year, the series is expected to consist of two models, namely the Watch 6 and Watch 6 Classic, with no Watch Pro variant like the previous year.
Dealabs Magazine, an online outlet, has reportedly leaked the prices of the Galaxy Watch 6 series in France. According to the leak, the 40mm Bluetooth variant of the Watch 6 is expected to start at EUR 319.99 (approximately ₹28,700), while the 40mm LTE variant may be priced at EUR 369.99 (around ₹31,200).
Comparing it to last year’s Watch 5, this pricing makes the Galaxy Watch 6 approximately EUR 100 more expensive at its starting price. To give a reference, the Watch 5 started at ₹27,999 for the Bluetooth model and went up to ₹32,999 for the LTE version.
Additionally, the standard Watch 6 model is expected to offer a 44mm version with both Bluetooth and 4G capabilities, priced at EUR 349.99 (approximately ₹31,400) and EUR 399.99 (around ₹35,800) respectively.
Regarding the Watch 6 Classic, it is anticipated to be available in two sizes: 43mm and 47mm. The 43mm variants, which will come in both Bluetooth and LTE editions, may be priced at EUR 419.99 (around ₹37,700) and EUR 469.99 (around ₹42,100) respectively. As for the 47mm models, their prices are reported to be EUR 449.99 (around ₹40,300) and EUR 499.99 (around ₹44,800) respectively.
Following recent leaks, a new report has emerged regarding the design and features of the Galaxy Watch 6 series. The Watch 6 and Watch 6 Classic are expected to have a similar appearance, but the Classic version may reintroduce a physical rotating bezel, which was absent in the Watch 5 and Watch 5 Pro released last year.
Renders of the watches showcase color options in cream, silver, and black. Noteworthy specifications include the Exynos W930 SoC and new health-related functionalities. Samsung is likely to continue its collaboration with Google to enhance the WearOS experience.
In addition to the smartwatches, India Today reported that Samsung is anticipated to unveil the Galaxy Z Fold 5 and Galaxy Z Flip 5 at the upcoming Galaxy Unpacked event scheduled for July 2023. Both foldable smartphones are rumored to feature Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC. The Galaxy Flip 5 might also incorporate a larger cover display, similar to the one found on the recently launched Motorola Razr 40 Ultra, which is expected to debut in India around the same time.
Furthermore, the Galaxy Tab S-series could be launched by Samsung during the event. It is speculated that the Galaxy Unpacked event will take place on July 28.
