Cook further said that it wasn’t his own Apple II computer but he “fell in love with it” after using the machine. Cook took a trip Singapore to validate the production line for the original translucent iMac.
Apple II: One of the most ‘popular’ Apple computers
For those who aren’t aware of the Apple II, it was the second computer that Apple co-founders Steve Jobs and Steve Wozniak worked on. The Apple II was made available to the public in 1977 and was one of the flagship computers for Apple. It was only in 1984 when Macintosh was released that the Apple II took a back seat.
In terms of specs, Apple II had a MOS 6502 chip for its CPU. It had 4KB of RAM which would be extended up to 48KB. It had a BASIC interpreter and could also support graphics and a colour monitor. It didn’t have an external storage unit to begin with but Apple added an external floppy disk drive to it later.
