This will be the first Realme phone to come with Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 processor – Times of India
Smartphone brand Realme has announced that its upcoming Realme GT 2 Pro will be powered by Qualcomm’s latest Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 processor. Realme GT 2 Pro is teased to be the company’s “first-ever ultra-premium flagship”, rising above the likes of the X50 Pro. The smartphone is expected to come with a starting price of $800 (roughly Rs 59,500).
The new Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chipset is manufactured using 4nm process technology powered by Kryo CPU with Arm Cortex-X2 technology clocked at up to 3.0 GHz. The chipset is also paired with Qualcomm Adreno 660 GPU. It is claimed to deliver 30% more power and 25% more efficiency than its predecessor.
Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 processor is the world’s first to feature a 10 Gigabit 5G modem-RF solution as well as an 18-bit ISP. It is also equipped with the company’s fastest AI Engine for mobile powered by 7thGen Qualcomm AI Engine
With the new chipset, smartphones will be able to capture up to 200MP photos from a single lens or up to 36MP photos from all three lenses at the same time. It will also enable 8K HDR video capture with claimed 64x more shades.
Realme GT 2 Pro: Likely features
Coming back to Realme GT 2 Pro, the smartphone is tipped to come with dual 50MP sensors paired with an 8MP camera. For selfies, the handset is rumoured to offer a 32MP camera at the front.
The smartphone is expected to come with a 6.8-inch WQHD+ OLED screen. It may offer a refresh rate of 120Hz. Powered by Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 processor, the device is said to pack up to 12GB RAM and up to 256GB storage capacity.
The device is tipped to be backed by a 5,000mAh battery and may come with 125-watt UltraDart charging. It is expected to come with a starting price of Rs 59,500.
