This Zelda: Breath of the Wild “Hyrule Discovery” series from Nintendo is a great way to relive the game

Time to revisit Lanaryu

I could look at Zelda: Breath of the Wild images and videos indefinitely. I mean, I certainly have for the past six years, and I don’t see that trend stopping anytime soon. Nintendo’s official “Hyrule Discovery” series, which presents regions from the game like a real-life travel video/magazine spread, is proof of that.

Incredibly, a ton of effort went into the project overall, with a full breakdown of many aspects of the Lanaryu region: including Zora’s Domain, and swimming around the surrounding area. There’s a short strategy guide on taking out Lynels, and an overview of most of the plants and animals found in the region. There’s even an adorable “sponsored by” ad for the Seabed Inn.

Although the page is technically part of Nintendo of Japan’s site, you can use in-browser translation tools to get the gist. Given that most of it is visual anyway, you don’t need to comprehend all of the text to really get a lot out of perusing these. There are so many things that are going on in the background of Zelda: Breath of the Wild that you don’t even notice until you see them right in front of you.

You can find a link to all of the current volumes below. So far, Nintendo has covered the Hebra, Eldin, and Lanaryu regions. That leaves the Akkala, Central Hyrule, Faron, Gerudo, and Necluda regions as potential follow-ups.
