After her
in the 200m freestyle yesterday, Siobhan Haughey returns to the Tokyo Aquatics Centre in the semi-finals of the 100m free. The 23-year-old set two Asian records on Wednesday, including the 52.70 she swam in her 100m free heat last night. Given the form she is in, who would bet against more success today?
Before that, Tang Chun-man and Tse Ying-suet take to the court in the semi-finals of the badminton mixed doubles, where they will have their work cut out against top seeds Zheng Siwei and Huang Yaqiong of China. The Chinese pair beat Tang and Tse 2-0 in the 2018 Asian Games final for the gold medal.
Elsewhere, Winne Hung Wing-yang rows in the C/D semi-finals of the single sculls, windsurfers Hayley Chan Hei-man and Michael Cheng Chun-leung will continue their attempt to qualify for the medal race, and sailor Stephanie Norton competes in the laser radial.
