Upcoming phones in June 2021: Owing to COVID-19 crisis and lockdowns across India, there haven’t been many announcements in the past month. The month of May ended with the Realme X7 Max launch and as things are finally looking to settle, we can expect quite a few smartphone launches in June. This will include both mid-range and premium flagships. iQOO Z3, OPPO Reno 6 series, OnePlus Nord CE 5G, and Huawei P50 series phones will be launching this month. Let’s take a look at some of the smartphones expected to launch in June 2021.

OnePlus Nord CE 5G in India

OnePlus Nord CE 5G design teased

OnePlus will be expanding the Nord lineup as the company gears up to unveil the OnePlus Nord CE 5G in India on June 10th. The recently leaked OnePlus Nord CE 5G specifications suggest the phone will come with a 6.43-inch AMOLED display with a 90Hz refresh rate, similar to the original Nord. It is said to be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 750G SoC, which is found on the Mi 10i and Samsung Galaxy M42 5G. The OnePlus Nord CE 5G will get a 64MP primary camera, coupled with two smaller cameras. It could get a 16MP snapper on the front. We can expect the OnePlus Nord CE 5G price to be around the Rs 20,000 range.

Realme GT 5G in India

Realme GT India launch soon

Realme GT that originally launched in China back in March is expected to launch in India and European markets. While the launch date isn’t clear at the moment, it can happen sometime in June. To recall the Realme GT 5G specifications, it sports a 6.43-inch FHD+ Super AMOLED display with punch-hole cutout, 120Hz refresh rate, 1000nits peak brightness, and Corning Gorilla 5. The phone is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 5G SoC coupled with Adreno 660 GPU, up to 12GB LPDDR5 RAM, and 256GB UFS 3.1 storage. It runs on Android 11-based Realme UI 2.0 custom skin out of the box and packs a 4,500mAh battery with 65W fast-charging support. The Realme GT 5G has triple cameras at the back, with a 64MP primary sensor, an 8MP wide-angle lens, and a 2MP macro lens. There is a 16MP snapper on the front for selfies and video chats and an in-display fingerprint sensor.

iQOO Z3 5G in India

iQOO Z3 5G India launch is slated to happen sometime in the first half of June. The phone is already available in China and will soon find its way to the Indian market. It is already listed on Amazon and is confirmed to ship with Snapdragon 768G SoC and 8GB RAM. It sports a 6.58-inch FHD+ LCD display with a 120Hz refresh rate, 2408× 1080 pixels resolution, 20:9 aspect ratio, a waterdrop notch for the selfie snapper, HDR10+ and 96 percent NTSC Colour Gamut. The phone runs on Android 11-based iQOO UI 1.0 custom skin on top and packs a 4,400mAh battery with 55W fast charging support. The iQOO Z3 5G has a quad-camera setup on the back with a 64MP primary sensor, an 8MP ultra-wide-angle lens, and a 2MP depth sensor. There is a 16MP front-facing camera for selfies and video chats and a side-mounted fingerprint sensor for security.

OPPO Reno 6 series in India

The OPPO Reno 6 series is expected to launch in India later this month. The lineup originally includes the standard Reno 6, Reno 6 Pro, and Reno 6 Pro+ and was originally launched in China early last week. While the exact timeline isn’t clear, we can expect the company to introduce the high-end or mid-tier model much like its predecessors. The OPPO Reno 6 series comes with an FHD+ AMOLED display, 90Hz refresh rate, punch-hole cutout, and Corning Gorilla Glass 5. The Reno 6 Pro+ is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 870 chipset, the Reno 6 Pro comes with MediaTek Dimensity 1200, while the standard Reno 6 has the Dimensity 900 SoC. The phones have a 64MP primary camera and 65W fast-charging support.

Huawei P50 series global launch

Huawei P50 series is expected to launch globally in June and the lineup may have multiple variants. The entry-level model is expected to come with Kirin 9000E chipset, while the P50 Pro and P50 Pro+ may get the Kirin 9000, which is the same chipset that powered the Huawei Mate 40 lineup. While very little is known about the Huawei P50 series at the moment, it should bring sizeable upgrades over the Mate 40 lineup.
