Tottenham boss Nuno Espirito Santo ‘could be sacked today’ as board hold emergency talks

Tottenham manager Nuno Espirito Santo could face the sack today after it emerged that the Spurs hierarchy are to hold emergency talks regarding an immediate dismissal. Saturday’s 3-0 defeat against Manchester United saw the side hammered by their own fans, consigning Spurs to their fifth Premier League defeat of the season.

The north London side may have approached the clash against United with cautious optimism due to the Red Devils’ poor form.

However, manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer was able to use Spurs’ dismal display to shrug off his own doubters as United ran away with a 3-0 victory.

Cristiano Ronaldo, Edinson Cavani and Marcus Rashford got on the score-sheet while Tottenham’s big-hitters effectively remained absent for much of the game.

The home crowd were not shy in venting their anger towards Nuno who had overseen another discouraging display – the kind that have become commonplace in recent weeks.
