Tottenham have four Kane replacements ready to sign as Bayern ‘submit £60m bid’

Tottenham have received their first official bid for Harry Kane as Bayern Munich attempt to sign their striker in a cut-price deal, giving chairman Daniel Levy a dilemma over whether to sell their talisman. Kane is valued at around £100million by his club but Bayern’s offer, reportedly worth £60m plus add-ons, has fallen well short and could impact Spurs head coach Ange Postecoglou’s ability to find a replacement for the club’s record goalscorer. Express Sport considers four options to replace Kane if he leaves, as the 29-year-old weighs up his future at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

Evan Ferguson

Brighton will be glad they managed to tie down Ferguson to a new long-term contract earlier this year after the striker’s meteoric rise to becoming first-choice striker Roberto De Zerbi. Before then, Spurs had been credited with an interest in replacing Kane with the Seagulls starlet, but if that happens now, the north London side will have to shell out a big fee.

The towering No 9 is the most obvious challenger to the likes of Kane and Alan Shearer’s goal records, having burst onto the scene at such a young age and already bagging six goals in his first 20 games for the club.

At just 18, it would resemble a massive move for Spurs to throw down their Kane money on the promising striker. But it could prove to be a masterstroke if Ferguson continues improving on his current trajectory.

Randal Kolo Muani

One of the breakout stars of the World Cup and over the last 12 months, only Eintracht Frankfurt’s demands have stopped Kolo Muani from securing a big-money move.

Bayern were interested, along with Manchester United, but both baulked at the Frenchman’s £87m euro valuation. However, Levy may have no choice but to launch a bid if he loses Kane, not least to keep the fans on his side.

The striker hit 15 goals and registered 11 assists in a distinctly average Frankfurt side. At 24, he would represent a long-term option for Spurs too – although there will be some understandable reservations about his price tag.

Ollie Watkins

One England striker out, another England striker in? It would be the perfect transition for Spurs as they look at the best-case scenario related to Kane leaving, with Watkins arguably ready to take the next step in his career and Spurs interested, according to the Birmingham Mail.

Watkins has hit double figures in the Premier League in all three of his seasons at Villa Park and at 27, he is approaching his peak years as a striker. Villa would be reluctant to let him go and would surely demand a fee close to what Spurs could get for Kane in the event that he leaves.

That could make any potential deal difficult, given Levy’s notorious reputation for taking a hardline stance in negotiations. But he might not have much of a choice if he needs to replace Kane quickly.
