Tottenham may sell four Fabio Paratici signings if chief leaves club

Tottenham could soon part ways with director of football Fabio Paratici after it was revealed that the Italian’s 30-month ban was imposed on worldwide football. The 50-year-old was at Juventus at a time when they have now been found guilty of ‘financial mismanagement’.

The Italian FA slapped all 12 directors with bans but they would only be implemented within the nation, prompting FIFA to approve of a request to make the sanction worldwide. A statement from the official body said: “FIFA can confirm that following a request by the Italian FA (FIGC), the chairperson of FIFA disciplinary committee has decided to extend the sanctions imposed by FIGC on several football officials to have worldwide effect.”

Given Paratici’s role in transfers, Spurs may be left with no choice but to part company with the director and have a complete refresh over the summer – with a new manager expected to be appointed following the departure of Antonio Conte. Tottenham could therefore be tempted to cut their losses on some of Paratici’s signings that have failed to hit the ground running in north London.

Express Sport takes a look at four potential departures…

Yves Bissouma

Having been one of Brighton’s best players since their promotion to the Premier League, expectations were high for Yves Bissouma after his arrival. However, the Mali international has struggled for minutes at Tottenham and Conte never sounded truly convinced by his ability. Clubs would be queuing up for the chance to sign Bissouma and help him get his career back on track, and Spurs could certainly recoup up to the fee that they dished out to Brighton.

Djed Spence

England under-21 international Djed Spence is still widely regarded as one of the brightest defensive talents in the country, but the arrival of Pedro Porro means that breaking into the Tottenham team now looks more unlikely than ever. The Rennes loanee is proving in the Ligue 1 that he is capable of competing at the top level and could even be sold for a profit if Spurs decide to cash in.
