The blue paintwork of the 2022 HyRyder looks more like the RAV4 along with featuring angular LED DRLs with three-section and a large geometrical air dam. The teaser video proudly touts the rear disc brake of the SUV. It will come with fog lamps, black front grilles, and alloy wheels.

With the announcement of the AWD system, the HyRyder is confirmed to be the first such SUV in the segment among its rivals like Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, and Skoda Kushaq. Also, the HyRyder nomenclature strongly hints the SUV be a hybrid vehicle and now, it is revealed to arrive in two powertrain options.
The high-end model will get a powerful self-charging hybrid electric combination while the lower model will offer the same but with a few limitations. Though, both the variants will be powered by a 1.5L K15 petrol mill.
To stand in a strong competition, Toyota is likely to bring the 2022 HyRyder tagged with aggressive pricing and could start at Rs 10 lakh ex-showroom. While the top AWD Automatic model can be costlier.
