Transfer news as Man Utd prepare £47m bid and Chelsea have Caicedo compromise

Following the arrivals of Andre Onana and Mason Mount, Manchester United are set to address their third biggest issue imminently: their lack of a striker. The Red Devils are desperate to acquire the services of Rasmus Hojlund from Atalanta, but several top European sides also have the Denmark international on their shortlist of targets.

Liverpool and Chelsea are both expected to continue their spending sprees over the coming weeks, with the latter locked in talks with Brighton over Moises Caicedo. The Blues are readying a third bid for the Ecuador international, though it remains to be seen whether the overall package meets the Seagulls’ £100million price tag.

In contrast, Arsenal conducted a significant part of their transfer business early in the window. Declan Rice, Kai Havertz and Jurrien Timber are already integrated into their squad and the priority has shifted to offloading fringe stars who no longer have a future at the Emirates Stadium.
