MSC Baseball Player of the Week
Cole Turney – Cumberland (Tenn.) – Jr. – OF – Richmond, Texas
- Turney batted .417 (5-for-12) with three home runs, six RBIs and four runs scored in three games for the Phoenix against Cumberlands (Ky.)
- He was 3-for-4 with a two-run homer and a three-run shot in series opener versus the Patriots
- The junior hit a solo homer in the second game of the series and added a hit in the finale as well
- He ranks second nationally with 12 home runs this season
- This marks the second weekly honor of the season and second of his career for Turney
MSC Baseball Pitcher of the Week
Nathan Curtis –Tennessee Southern – So. – Eliot, Maine
- Curtis tossed a nine-inning complete game in a victory at Pikeville (Ky.)
- The sophomore righthander allowed one run on four hits with nine strikeouts
- He worked around six walks, stranding eight Bears in the 5-1 win
- This marks the first weekly honor of the season and first of his career for Curtis
