TVS Apache 310 Street Making Its Debut on September 6? – Smartprix Bytes
Taking a cue from the approach adopted by fellow Indian motorcycle manufacturers like Hero MotoCorp and Bajaj, TVS is intensifying its emphasis on the premium motorcycle sector. In line with this vision, TVS is gearing up for the introduction of a fresh addition to its lineup: an Apache street naked motorcycle, drawing inspiration from the Apache RR310 model. This upcoming release is poised to enter the competition against formidable contenders such as the KTM 390 Duke, 250 Duke, Honda CB300R, and the eagerly awaited Yamaha MT-03.
TVS Official Teaser
The TVS Apache 310cc street naked motorcycle has been recently sighted undergoing road testing once more. These test models seem to have reached a production-ready state, hinting at a probable launch around the festive season or possibly towards the conclusion of this year. In an intriguing move ahead of the anticipated launch, TVS has released a captivating “Block Your Date” teaser set for September 6, 2023. The teaser, while not divulging extensive details, does feature the intriguing phrase “Restless To Play?” along with geographic coordinates pointing to Bangkok.
TVS Apache 310 Street Design
Following in the footsteps of its faired counterpart, the Apache 310 street naked motorcycle is poised to carve its place as an attractively priced option within its category. While drawing inspiration from the Apache RR310, the naked iteration will boast a distinctive identity. Beyond the absence of fairing, notable differences extend to the front fascia, instrument cluster, alloy wheel design, color palettes, exhaust arrangement, and tail section. TVS faces the task of ensuring that the naked version maintains a unique aesthetic and doesn’t inadvertently mirror the BMW G310R.
Key highlights of the forthcoming TVS Apache 310 street naked bike encompass an assertive front facade anchored by a sharp LED headlight, enhanced by golden-finished USD forks. A sculpted fuel tank harmonizes with the bike’s persona, accompanied by a split seat design, upswept exhaust, and a monoshock rear suspension system. Differentiating it further, the bike will boast fresh alloy wheels, distinguishing it from the Apache RR310 model.
TVS Apache 310 Street Engine and Powertrain
The forthcoming naked version appears to boast heightened agility and maneuverability, offering a notably comfortable riding stance in contrast to the RR310. This naked variant is positioned as a pragmatic choice catering to a broader spectrum of riders. It is anticipated to possess a lower weight in comparison to its faired counterpart. While the RR310 weighs 174kg, the naked iteration is projected to shed around 10kg, which would not only enhance its handling prowess but also elevate its power-to-weight ratio. Propelling this motorcycle is the 312.2cc liquid-cooled, single-cylinder engine. In Sport/Track mode, it achieves a maximum power output of 34 PS and torque of 27.3 Nm. In Urban and Rain modes, the power and torque stand at 25.8 PS and 25 Nm respectively. A 6-speed gearbox complements the engine, maintaining its power delivery.
The naked version is anticipated to approach the faired sibling in terms of top speed and acceleration. The RR310 can accelerate from 0 to 60 kmph in just 2.93 seconds, with the 0 to 100 kmph sprint accomplished in 7.17 seconds. Its top speed is 160 kmph in Sport and Track modes, while it caps at 125 kmph in Urban and Rain modes.
