“Punting relaunch of Blue Verified to November 29th to make sure that it is rock solid,” Musk wrote on the microblogging site. “All unpaid legacy Blue checkmarks will be removed in a few months,” he added.

According to the Twitter chief, changes to your verified name will result in the loss of the Blue tick until Twitter confirms the name complies with the Terms of Service with the new version.

“With the new release, changing your verified name will cause loss of checkmark until the name is confirmed by Twitter to meet Terms of Service,” Musk wrote.

According to reports, subscribers opting for Twitter Blue will get a blue checkmark, just like the celebrities, companies, and politicians they already follow. Not just that, but they will get prioritised in replies, searches, and mentions.

Twitter Blue subscribers will also be able to post longer audio and video files. Plus, they will have to go through half the ads, which will be all the way more relevant to them. Also, users will be able to edit their tweets, something a lot have been craving for.

While the platform has priced $7.99 for the Twitter Blue subscription in countries like the US, Australia, and Canada, the same service is set at Rs 719 (approx $8.91) for India. The Rs 719 Twitter Blue subscription pricing in India is surprising as Musk said that pricing would be adjusted in countries based on purchasing power.
