Ubisoft Introduces MouseTrap and QB Anti-Cheat Systems in Rainbow Six Siege, and It Is Working Wonders
Ubisoft has introduced a new anti-cheat system for their famous PvP shooter, Rainbow Six Siege. They have just published a report about this new system, and its results. It would be fair to say that the anti-cheat system has been working wonders. Ubisoft has said that the new anti-cheat system has led to a 78% reduction in the total spoofers on Rainbow Six Siege. Impressively, the number of spoofers in the ranked game mode has also seen a drop of 73%.

The company introduced the MouseTrap and QB anti-cheat systems to the game. MouseTrap has been doing its duty in the game for around 3 months now, whereas QB got released last year on November 8, 2022. MouseTrap has led to an impressive drop in spoofers, which are essentially players who are using a mouse and keyboard on console. The anti-cheat detection system adds extra lag in the gameplay of spoofers who are using third-party software.
QB is a bit more of a mystery compared to MouseTrap. This is an anti-cheat for PC that has been designed to “make cheat development more tedious.” Ubisoft has not touched upon how this anti-cheat system exactly works but it has been effective so far. Ubisoft claims that QB has contributed to the ban of over 10,000 cheaters in the game so far and that the team is “only getting started!”
