Ubisoft Is Reportedly Working on 3 More Assassin’s Creed Games Beyond the 6 Already in Development; All You Need to Know

A few months ago, Ubisoft unveiled the future of its hit RPG franchise, Assassin’s Creed. At the Ubisoft Forward event, the French publisher unveiled four new titles as part of this series.

This includes the upcoming Assassin’s Creed Mirage, Assassin’s Creed Infinity, a new hub featuring titles like Codename Red and Codename Hexe, and a mobile title called Codename Jade. A few weeks later, Ubisoft also announced the series’ latest multiplayer outing, Project Invictus.

Along with these five announced projects, it’s been reported that the studio is also working on a VR title called Project Nexus, which might be unveiled this year. Judging by the lineup so far, it seems like Ubisoft has covered all the bases. However, that might not be the case, as the company is reportedly pursuing more projects for the series.

According to Insider Gaming, the French giants are rumored to be working on three additional Assassin’s Creed titles along with the six mentioned above. It’s been reported that these titles are in the “conceptual and prototype phase.”

One of these three titles is called Project Nebula, which has been pitched by Assassin’s Creed: Rogue developers, Ubisoft Sofia. The title in question will reportedly take the globe-trotting series to three new settings – India, Aztec Empire, and Mediterranean.

Ubisoft Chengdu are also developing a new title called Project Raid, which will heavily focus on PvE and 4-player co-op elements. The free-to-play title will consist of the various characters that fans have seen in previous Assassin’s Creed games.

Finally, Ubisoft Annecy has a multiplayer title called Project Echoes in the works. The Division 2 developers will reportedly use the Ubisoft Scalar technology, which enhances the scope of titles with the help of cloud computing.

The original six titles in development will most likely release in the next few years, with the launch of Project Nexus taking place this year. However, the three new Assassin’s Creed games in the works are still in the early stages, so don’t expect to see or hear much about them in the near future.
