Ultraviolette F77 electric sports bike launched in India: Read on to know more – Smartprix

Ultraviolette Automotive, which is a start-up company backed by TVS has launched its 1st ever product for India as well as the world. Ultraviolette F77 is the first electric sports bike to be launched in the country. The company has Dulqueer Salman as one of its investors and plans to start delivering the e-bike to all major Indian cities over the next year.

Ultraviolette F77: Price & Availability

The prices for Ultraviolette F77 electric sports bike start from Rs. 3.8 lakh for the original base variant. Customer deliveries in Bangalore will start in January 2023. There are two higher-priced variants as well- Recon which costs Rs. 4.55 lakh and a limited edition model which costs Rs. 5.55 lakh. Taxes and other charges will take the price to Rs. 6 lakh for the top variant, while the base variant will cost Rs. 4 lakh on-road. The Ultraviolette F77 will come in Shadow, Airstrike, and Laser colorways.

The special edition model will have only 77 units and will look different. It will have some different features as well.

Ultraviolette F77: Features

The electric sports bike is India’s longest-range electric two-wheeler with an IDC-certified range of 307km/charge. The limited edition variant has an electric motor rated at 40.4 Bhp-100Nm and can do the 0 to 100Kph sprint in 7.8 seconds while 0 to 60 Kmph comes in 2.9 seconds. The top speed is 152Kmph.

Coming to the mid Recon variant, it has 38.9Bhp-95Nm torque and can hit 100Kph in 8 seconds with a top speed of 147Kmph and do the 0 to 60Kph sprint in 3.1 seconds.

The base model makes 36.2 Bhp-85Nm torque, hits a top speed of 140Kph, and can accelerate from 0 to 60Kmph and 0 to 100Kmph in 3.4 seconds and 8.3 seconds respectively.

All the 3 models have 3 levels of regenerative braking, parking assistance with reverse gear, and 3 riding modes- Glide, Combat, and Ballistic. The electric sports bikes have a battery capacity of 10.5kWh which is the highest for any two-wheeler in India. Coming to the range, IDC figures claim that the base model can go up to 206 km per charge while the Recon and limited edition model can go 307 km per charge. The range on paper is almost 30% more than the real-world range. Ultraviolette also claims that the base trim can give 118, 135, and 176 km in Glide, Combat, and Ballistic modes. The Recon and top-tier trims are said to give 261, 200, and 171 km in Glide, Combat, and Ballistic modes respectively.

In a real-world scenario, the original base model will go about 140 km per charge while higher models will go about 200 km per charge. All the 3 models come with active cooling for the battery packs, LED headlamps, tail lamps, and turn indicators. They have upside-down front forks, monoshock rear suspension- adjustable for pre-load, disc brakes on both wheels, and dual-channel ABS. The sports bike comes with a connected interface that enables turn-by-turn navigation and notification alerts. There are features like ride analytics, real-time location, crash detection, and battery statistics also found in the app. The bike has a 5-inch LCD TFT display to show various data. There is pillion seating, clip-on handlebars, and a narrow and slender tail section as well.
