Check your internet connection
A stable internet connection is important for downloading apps and games from the Play Store. Ensure that you are connected to a reliable Wi-Fi network or have a strong mobile data signal. If you’re using Wi-Fi, try restarting your router or connecting to a different network to rule out any connection issues.
Clear cache and data of the Play Store
Sometimes, accumulated cache and data within the Play Store app prevent apps and games from downloading. To resolve this, go to your device’s settings, navigate to the Apps or Application Manager section, locate the Google Play Store and clear its cache and data. This process may vary slightly depending on your device model and Android version.
Update the Play Store app
Like other apps, Play Store is also an app and Google updates it once in a while to ensure seamless functionality. Outdated versions of the Play Store app may cause compatibility issues, resulting in download failures. To update the app, open the Play Store, tap on the menu icon (usually three horizontal lines) in the top-left corner, go to Settings, and scroll down to find the “Play Store version.” If an update is available, follow the on-screen prompts to install it.
Check available storage space
If your phone is running low on storage, it can prevent the apps and games from downloading. Make sure, the phone has enough free storage. If there’s not, delete some photos, videos or unused apps and then try to download the app.
Restart your phone
The oldest trick in the book works most of the time. Simply restart your device to refresh it completely and then try to download the app or game from Play Store.
