WhatsApp multi-account feature for Android beta testers

Based on a report by WABetaInfo, WhatsApp is now rolling out the beta app with version number 2.23.18.21 to testers who’ve signed up for the program through the Google Play Store. This version is reportedly seeding the Multi-account feature to more beta testers as earlier only select beta users could access the much-awaited feature.

The Multi-account feature should allow users to have more than one WhatsApp account accessible through the same app in case they have multiple phone numbers. As it is now rolling out to a wide range of testers, it is possible that the feature is in its final stage of development and could roll out to normal users in the next few months. Another feature that’s rolling out to beta testers is the new “Profile” tab to see and edit your own WhatsApp profile and general settings.

WhatsApp has had a history of testing features in beta for quite a while, so we do think you should not hold your breath just yet. WhatsApp has also been on a spree of bringing new features to its users as it recently brought HD photos and video functionality. The app is also currently rolling out a new interface on Android with a menu bar at the bottom similar to what its iOS counterpart has had.
