Venom 3 Behind the Scenes Photos and Videos From Set Hint at MCU’s Spider-Man Crossover

As Venom 3 goes into production, new pictures from behind the scenes have surfaced, further hinting at the much-anticipated SSU and MCU crossover. The video feature Tom Hardy as Eddie Brock walking in the frame, but it is the setting and the location which makes the most difference. Here’s more.

Venom 3 BTS pictures reveal Mexico as the setting

The video of Tom Hardy on the Venom 3 set was shared by Twitter user “@Almupg80” on 27th June. The caption sheds more light about the location of the shoot, which is being held in Cartagena, Colombia.

Additionally, Twitter user “@QuidVacuo” shared pictures from the city of Cartagena prior to the commencement of the shoot. They mention in the caption that the city’s been filled with graffitti in Spanish as it will represent Mexico. In their second post, they mention that decorations resemble that of the Day of the Dead, further confirming the setting of Venom 3 to be Mexico.

How does Venom 3 BTS pictures hint at MCU crossover

The Venom 2 post credits showed Tom Hardy in an apartment watching the Mexican telenovela Acorralada with Venom. We then see Eddie Brock being transported to a beach in the MCU as the TV in the room runs the news of Spider-Man’s real identity, as was leaked by Mysterio to the Daily Bugle at the end of Spider-Man: Far from Home.

Spider-Man: No Way Home’s post credits scenes took the story forward from here as Eddie Brock can be seen at a bar, learning about the blip from the bartender. Shortly after he gets teleported away to some unknown location, as a part of the symbiote is left behind at the bar, hinting at the entry point of Venom in the MCU. With Venom 3’s shooting locations revealing Mexico as the setting, which is where both these post-credits scenes take place, we can expect the Tom Holland Spider-Man crossover with the Sony Spider-Man Universe’s villain to finally happen in Venom 3.

In other news, Kraven the Hunter has also included a Spider-Man reference in the new trailer. Lead actor Aaron Taylor Johnson, who portrays the titular character also teased the Spider-Man crossover in an instagram post.
