The new entry-level Vi plan
Earlier Vodafone Idea used to offer an entry-level plan of Rs 99. Under the plan the service provider offered talk time of Rs 99 and 200MB data. The plan comes with a validity of 28 days.
Now the telco has increased the price of its entry-level plan to Rs 179. The plan offers talk time of Rs 179, 200MB data and is valid for a period of 28 days. On the other hand, the company has reduced the validity of the Rs 99 plan from 28 days to 15 days.
Vodafone Idea last week raised entry-level tariffs (for 28 days validity) to Rs179 per month (from Rs 99) in two more service areas (total 2 service areas now)”, an analyst from Goldman Sachs noted in a recent report.
The report also mentions that there are chances that Vi will pause the tariff hike for the other 19 telecom circles until the impact of the new JioBharat phone is assessed.
Bharti Airtel implemented a similar tariff hike in November 2022, initially affecting two circles. This increase has now been extended to all 22 circles.
Vi introduced new Super Hour and Super Day plans
Vi has introduced two recharge plans called Super Hour and Super Day. The Super Hour pack offers unlimited data benefits for a duration of one hour and is priced at Rs 24. On the other hand, the Super Day pack, priced at Rs 49, provides a data benefit of 6GB and is valid for 24 hours.
