The Vidyut Jammwal-starrer Bollywood action thriller, IB71, is set to make its streaming debut with a premiere date set for July 7th, 2023. As expected, the Hindi film is making its way to Disney Plus Hotstar, its official streaming partner since theatrical release.
In a tweet by Disney+ Hotstar, the streaming platform confirmed that IB71 is indeed coming to the platform as soon as the first week of July. The movie is following an unsaid buffer of 8 weeks between theatrical release, May 12th in this case, and streaming debut. This is one of the biggest commercial Bollywood film releases for Disney Plus Hotstar in recent times, given the plethora of films going to platforms like Jio Cinema and SonyLIV.
IB71 plot, cast
IB71 is the story of how Indian intelligence agencies faced off against the Pakistani establishment to find flaws and get the better of the enemy during the Indo-Pakistan war of 1971. It shows how Indian intelligence agents find out how Pakistan and China are conspiring for an aerial attack on India, which the nation is not prepared for. The story revolves around what transpires when these agents come up with plans to deter these attacks from even happening.
IB71 has quite the stellar cast with names like Vidyut Jammwal, Anupam Kher, Dalip Tahil, and Nissar Khan in lead roles. The movie has been directed by Sankalp Reddy and Lee Whittaker, while writing credits go to Sahar Quaze, Sankalp Reddy, and Vasudev Reddy. In fact, this is the debut production by lead actor Vidyut Jammwal.
