Viral Fission: Viral Fission connects with 21 college campuses in India with mobile app – Times of India
Viral Fission, a youth community platform, has collaborated with 21 college campuses to connect over 60,000 students across the country through its Campus ViFi smartphone app. The platform provides a three-fold purpose – it provides internship opportunities for Gen Z students, connects them with brands for activities, and enables them to expand their peer network through online and offline events.
HR College (Mumbai), R. D. National & W. A. Science College (Mumbai), Bharati Vidyapeeth’s College of Engineering (Delhi), Sardar Patel Institute of Technology (Lucknow), Birla Institute of Technology Mesra (Jaipur), ILEAD Kolkata and Bangalore Institute of Technology are some of the colleges that been connected by Viral Fission’s Campus ViFi app.
The company aims to create more opportunities for the student or Gen Z community with its Campus ViFi. The app, which is only for the Gen Z audience and available for Android and iOS devices, is available for free. Once registered, students can look for internships with brands, build their resume, and even participate in Viral Fission’s events.
Viral Fission’s tech-enabled platform was developed by founders Shreyas Hegde and Rishab Shetty who claim that they saw a gap between brands and the youth, along with the need for the latter to find gainful employment as students. The app has an AI-based resume-building service called CVi, a section called Placebud where students can avail of placement opportunities, get details on sponsorships and Viral Fission-led events where they can network with peers.
Besides sourcing details and applying for internships through the app, students can also get to know more about the features through a designated point of contact at the college and connect with a campus faculty member.
Viral Fission claims to be present in over 4,000 campuses, across 1,000+ cities and has digitized 21 colleges, connecting over 60,000 students across India.
