Viva: Microsoft Viva gets AI Copilot, Viva Glint also debuts: All details – Times of India

Microsoft launched 365 Copilot last month and said that the AI capabilities will come in Teams, Word, Excel and other products in the Microsoft 365 suite. Building on the announcement, Microsoft has now launched Copilot in Microsoft Viva. The company is also introducing Viva Glint, a tool to boost workforce engagement and performance.
“With Copilot, Microsoft Viva takes advantage of next-generation AI to accelerate this new performance equation, where engagement and productivity together lead to better business outcomes and success,” the company said.
What is Microsoft Viva?
Viva is Microsoft’s employee experience platform that offers employees of an organisation one platform to share goals, communicate, engage in workplace analytics and give feedback.

Microsoft Copilot will be introduced in Viva Goals, Viva Engage, Viva Learning, Viva Topics, Viva Glint and more. Microsoft is also introducing the new Viva Glint, a survey tool to measure and improve employee engagement.
The company said that Copilot in Viva is built on the Microsoft 365 Copilot System, which combines the power of large language models (LLMs) with customer data in the Microsoft Graph and the Viva apps, to provide “new ways to understand and engage their workforce.”
Copilot in Viva Goals
Copilot in Viva Goals is aimed at simplifying goal setting by guiding team leaders through the process of creating objectives and key results (OKRs) as well as simplifying goal management across the organisation.

Copilot can suggest drafting OKR recommendations by pulling data from the existing Word documents. Copilot can save time by summarising the status of OKRs, identifying blockers, and suggesting the next steps.
Copilot in Viva Engage
Copilot in Viva Engage will help leaders create “compelling and inspiring posts”, either from simple prompts or from trending topics within workplace communities. Copilot will offer suggestions to personalise messages with options to adjust tone, and length and suggest relevant images.
Copilot in Viva Learning
Copilot in Viva Learning will suggest curated learning collections and knowledge summaries that are tailored to specific roles or development needs. This will help make it easier for team leaders to skill and train the workforce.

Copilot in Viva Topics
With Copilot in Viva Topics, employees can use a conversational interface to learn more about important topics and see related projects.
Copilot in Answers
Copilot in Answers will help employees construct questions with the appropriate specificity and completeness as well as assist experts in constructing complete answers by appropriate citation of references and resources.
Viva Glint
Microsoft announced Viva Glint last year and said that the tool will join the Viva family to help organisations measure and improve employee engagement to drive business outcomes.
The company, on Thursday (April 20), announced Viva Glint will join the Viva Suite in July 2023. It also said that Copilot will come to Viva Glint to help leaders summarise and analyse thousands of employee comments.
