vivaldi: Vivaldi introduces world’s first mobile browser with two rows of tabs – Times of India

Vivaldi is trying to lure in as many Android users as it can with its most recent mobile browser update. Vivaldi 5.0 is the first mobile browser in the world that offers a “two-level tab stacks” solution. Moreover, Vivaldi’s Android browser comes with built-in Panels for Chromebooks and tablets, again the first-ever in the world.
Two-level tabs stack for mobile browsers
The “two-level tabs stack” feature has already been launched on the desktop browser that was developed and released by Vivaldi earlier in 2021. This feature helps users to manage multiple web pages with ease. The same feature designed for mobile devices has been released now
How to enable it?
To enable this new feature you have to long-press the New Tab button and select “New Tab Stack.” which will allow you to start using the new stack/group that you have created, with the current tab and one new additional tab. There’s one other way to make a group of tabs from the Tab Switcher, you have to drag one tab on top of the other one to build a new stack.
Other new features
The tabs stack feature in the latest Vivaldi update is not the only thing that is new. The browser has got an improved tab interface and has also got new ways to tweak the Tab Bar. The built-in Notes tool has also been upgraded with an “Append to Note” for Android users to quickly handle huge chunks of text from any webpage to an existing note option when highlighting text.
New features for tablets
Vivaldi 5.0 is a huge step up for tablet users, as developers are working to optimise the browser for bigger displays. The new version of Vivaldi comes with a side panel to make it smoother for users to optimise their screen space better on tablets and has a whole new design for it.
