Vivo to launch X70 Pro+ as its first water and dust resistant phone in India – Smartprix

Vivo is getting ready to launch the X70 series in India later this month. The lineup includes three phones viz. the Vivo X70, Vivo X70 Pro, and Vivo X70 Pro+. All three phones had gone official in China last week. And if recent sightings and listings at various certification sites are any indications, the launch is right around the corner. Now out of the three, the X70 Pro+ is the top-rung model. And it will be the first Vivo phone with an IP68 rating and 50W Qi wireless charging support in India.

Vivo X70 Series India Launch Date (Expected)

Previously, Vivo was reportedto bring the X70 series to India around the time of the IPL 2021 kickoff. Still and all when they arrive, they are bound to make some waves, especially for the Vivo fans. As already mentioned, the high-end X70 Pro+ will be boasting features like IP68 ingress protection and Qi-compatible 50W wireless charging.

Here is everything else you need to know about this phone:

Vivo X70 Pro+ Highlights

vivo X70 Pro+ Chinese variant ships with Snapdragon 888+ chipset and recent Google Play Console listing suggests the same chip to power the phone in India. This makes it the first phone to wield this SoC in the country.

Further, the internals is likely to hold up to 12GB of LPDDR5 RAM, 512GB of UFS 3.1 storage, and a 4,500mAh battery. Again, the device will be the first Vivo phone to support 50W fast Qi wireless charging.

Upfront, the Chinese variant of the Vivo X70 Pro+ sports a 6.78-inch LTP AMOLED panel with a 1440×3200 pixel resolution, 1 billion colors, HDR10+, 120Hz refresh rate, and up to 1000nits peak brightness. It has a central punch hold with a 32MP selfie snapper inside.

As for the rear cameras, you could expect a Zeiss-branded 50MP main camera (with high-transmittance) coupled with a 48MP gimbal-stabilized 114˚ultrawide camera, a 12MP telephoto lens (with PDAF, OIS, 2x optical zoom), and an 8MP periscope lens system (with PDAF, OIS, 5x optical zoom).
