vivo: Vivo X80, X80 Pro smartphones tipped to launch in India on May 18 – Times of India
Vivo recently launched its flagship smartphone series — Vivo X80 in China. A new online leak now suggests that the smartphone maker is gearing up to launch the Vivo X80 and Vivo X80 Pro smartphones in India soon. A tipster has shared an image of the teaser page which showed a countdown to the launch date. The image was taken from Vivo’s official website which was later removed by the company.
According to the image shared by tipster Abhishek Yadav, Vivo is said to launch the X80 and X80 Pro smartphones in India on May 18. The company will launch the same smartphones in the global market on May 8.
Expected price
As per various online reports, the Vivo X80 is said to be priced under Rs 45,000. Whereas, the Vivo X80 Pro is tipped to be priced under Rs 65,000.

As mentioned above Vivo X80 Pro is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chipset paired with up to 12GB of RAM. The smartphone comes in two storage options — 256GB and 512GB.
Vivo X80 Pro features a 6.78-inch Quad HD+ AMOLED display with 1440×3200 pixel resolution.
The display offers 120Hz refresh rate. The smartphone runs Android 12 operating system topped with the company’s own layer of OriginOS on top.
The dual SIM Vivo X80 Pro features a quad rear camera powered by Zeiss optics. The smartphone camera comprises of 50MP main camera with the first Samsung GNV sensor, a 48MP ultra-wide-angle, a 12MP 50mm 2X portrait and an 8MP 5X periscope telephoto camera The front is home to a 32MP selfie shooter. Vivo X80 Pro also comes with the company’s own V1+ custom chip which claims to offer better and bright images in low light conditions.
Vivo X80 Pro comes equipped with an ultrasonic fingerprint sensor and IP68 rating which makes it dust and water-resistant. The smartphone houses a 4,700 mAh battery with 80W fast charging, 50W wireless fast charging, and 10W wireless reverse charging support.

Powered by MediaTek Dimensity 9000 chipset, the smartphone sports a 6.78-inch FHD+ AMOLED display with 1800×2400 pixel resolution. The smartphone packs up to 12GB of RAM and comes in three storage options — 128GB, 256GB and 512GB.
Vivo X80 runs Android 12 operating system topped with the company’s own layer of customisation. The smartphone features a triple rear camera which consists of a 50MP main camera with the first Sony IMX866 RGBW sensor, a 12MP ultra-wide-angle and a 12MP 50mm 2X portrait camera. There’s also a 32MP front camera for selfie lovers.
Vivo X80 comes with an in-display fingerprint sensor and is backed by a 4500mAh battery with 80W fast charging support.
