Watch: Delhi Capitals players wish Rishabh Pant a speedy recovery | Cricket News – Times of India

NEW DELHI: Ahead of their first home game in the IPL 2023 against Gujarat Titans, Delhi Capitals players wished their regular skipper Rishabh Pant a speedy recovery.
IPL took to Twitter to share a video of DC players wishing Pant to recover soon and get back on the field. Reports are also emerging that Pant will be present at the Arun Jaitley Stadium on Tuesday to watch the DC vs GT match.

It will be Pant’s first appearance at a cricket stadium after miraculously surviving a horrific car accident while on his way to his hometown Roorkee in Uttarakhand from New Delhi on December 30 last year.

DC came up with a kind hearted gesture to show their love to Pant during their IPL 2023 opening match against Lucknow Super Giants. DC tweeted an image of Pant’s jersey hanging in the dugout and captioned “Always in our dugout. Always in our team”.

Delhi’s Director of Cricket Sourav Ganguly also admitted that the side missed their regular skipper Pant against Lucknow but he sees it as an opportunity for youngsters to prove their worth. He also cited an example of how Pant got into the Indian team.
“We of course missed Rishabh Pant, but it gives an opportunity to a lot of other youngsters. Pant came when Dhoni left and that is how youngsters get an opportunity. Right now what is important for us is Rishabh Pant’s recovery,” said Ganguly.
