NEW DELHI: The India-Pakistan rivalry is rated among one of the best in cricket with players from both the nations engaging in heated verbal duels on the field.
Former India star spinner Harbhajan Singh and Pakistan pacer Shoaib Akhtar caught up at the Legends League Cricket Masters where the duo went down the memory lane from their playing days.
Akhtar recalled the incident when he smashed the sixes against Harbhajan in the Faisalabad Test. Harbhajan was quick to remind Akhtar that he didn’t sledge him after being hit for sixes. Harbahajan went on to continue saying when he took Akhtar to the cleaners during the Asia Cup match in 2010, the fast bowler did not take in his stride.

“He was bowling so good in Faisalabad, then I hit him for two sixes!” Akhtar said as he recalled their past duels.
“I didn’t say anything to you when you hit those two sixes. But when I hit a six against you, you said so many things!” Harbhajan replied.
“Should I tell everyone what you said? You actually started it,” Akhtar hit back at the Indian spinner. Harbhajan came up with a blunt response: “I didn’t start. He just got angry, how can he hit a six against me!”
Akhtar then playfully hit Harbhajan, to which the India star jokingly said, “When he can’t win with words, he starts hitting people.”
