WATCH: Hardik Pandya doesn’t allow the dangerous Mitchell Marsh to score big | Cricket News – Times of India

NEW DELHI: After handing India a 10-wicket mauling in the second ODI, Mitchell Marsh and Travis Head continued from where they had left as the duo put on 68 runs on the board for the opening wicket in the third and final ODI at MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai.
But when the things seemed to have got out of control for India, Hardik Pandya led the fightback with his three-wicket haul to reduce Australia from 68/0 to 85/3 in 14.3 overs.

Pandya broke the opening stand by dismissing Travis Head who was caught at third man by Kuldeep Yadav for 33. The right-arm medium pacer gave Australia another blow in quick succession as skipper Steve Smith departed for a duck after being caught behind the stumps by Rahul.
Pandya went on to pile misery on Australia with his third strike in his third successive over to dismiss the in-form Marsh for 47. Marsh has been in the mind boggling form in the series as he scored 81 and 66 not out respectively in the first two ODIs.

India won the first ODI by five wickets at Wankhede Stadium before Australia hit back to draw level with a 10-wicket victory in Vizag.
