Top-ranked pound-for-pound boxer Canelo Alvarez (56-1-2, 38 KOs) will face Caleb Plant (21-0, 12 KOs) in an attempt to become the undisputed middleweight champion on Saturday at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Paradise, Nevada.
Alvarez, who is the WBA, WBC, WBO and The Ring champion, last fought in May, a referee technical decision victory over Billy Joe Saunders to win the WBO title. Alvarez is on a seven-fight win streak dating back to his majority decision win over Gennady Golovkin in September 2018 to win the WBA, WBC and The Ring middleweight titles.

Plant is making his fifth defense of his IBF title, which he won in January 2019 with a unanimous decision win over Jose Uzcategui. He and Alvarez have already had pre-fight drama, with Alvarez throwing a punch at him in a press conference and both fighters calling the bout “personal.”
