What channel is Giants vs. Washington on today? Schedule, time for NFL ‘Thursday Night Football’ in Week 2

The TV channel for tonight’s Week 2 game between the Giants and Washington Football Team is different than it was in Week 1. Cowboys vs. Buccaneers aired on NBC, but “Thursday Night Football” will air exclusively on NFL Network in Week 2 instead.

Both the Giants and Washington are coming off losses in Week 1. The Giants were defeated 27-13 by the Broncos while Washington lost 20-16 against the Chargers. Washington also saw their starting quarterback, Ryan Fitzpatrick, exit the game early with a hip injury.

Fitzpatrick will be sidelined for Washington in Week 2 and beyond. Taylor Heinicke will replace him and will hope to outduel Daniel Jones, who committed the 40th turnover of his career in just his 28th game (27 starts) on Sunday against the Broncos.

The injury to Fitzpatrick won’t be the only one to watch in advance of this contest. Saquon Barkley made his return from an ACL injury against Denver, but on a short week, how much will the Giants let him play? Tight end Evan Engram, who is dealing with a calf injury that kept him out of Week 1, will probably be questionable for this contest as well; he didn’t practice at all last week.

Below is everything to know about tonight’s broadcast of the Week 2 game featuring the Giants and Washington, plus the complete schedule for Week 2 of the 2021 NFL season.

Fox and NFL Network will simulcast the game starting in Week 5, giving those with basic cable packages a chance to watch the action on Fox. Additionally, Amazon Prime will begin streaming the game in Week 5. These three services will carry the games for the rest of the “Thursday Night Football season”, which runs through Week 17.

NFL Network is available via most cable providers in the United States. It also is available via satellite provider DirecTV (channels 212 and 1212) and IPTV providers Verizon FiOS (channels 88 and 588) and Google Fiber (channel 2019).

NFL live stream for Giants vs. Washington

The first game of Week 2 is being broadcast on NFL Network, so the game will be available to stream live on the NFL App and Yahoo! Sports App. This should be the preferred streaming method for cable/satellite subscribers that can’t get in front of a TV.

Cord-cutters will have plenty of options to watch the Giants vs. Washington game. They are as follows.

NFL schedule Week 2

The Giants and Washington Football Team will kick off Week 2 of the 2021 NFL season with a divisional clash, one of six on the 16-game slate. The biggest game of the week will be a matchup between the Ravens and Chiefs on “Sunday Night Football.” John Harbaugh’s Ravens haven’t beaten the Chiefs while Andy Reid has been head coach.

The Packers vs. Lions “Monday Night Football” game will carry some additional interest as well after Green Bay’s awful showing in Week 1. Aaron Rodgers and Co. will look to bounce back against a Lions defense that just allowed 41 points to the 49ers.
