So it is with the Olympic Channel. But Sporting News is here to help you figure out how to find the Olympic Channel, which will not only provide hours of coverage, original programming and analysis, but also serve as the hub of Team USA.

What channel is the Olympic Channel?

Provider Channel (SD/HD)
AT&T UVerse 667/1667
Verizon FIOS 1494
DISH Network 389
DirecTV 105

The Olympic Games represent the single largest sporting event in the world, and NBCUniversal took great pains to capture as much of it as possible, presenting more than 7,000 hours’ worth of coverage for the event. Because of the sheer volume, NBCUniversal must split its coverage across its family of networks, including NBC, NBC Sports, Olympic Channel, CNBC, USA and Golf Channel. That’s to say nothing of the streaming options available, either.

Below is the info you need to watch Olympic content, regardless of cable provider

  • DirecTV: Channel 105
  • DISH Network: Channel 389
  • Spectrum: Varies by location (area code search)
  • Xfinity: Varies by location (area code search)
  • Verizon FiOS: Channel 1494
  • AT&T: 667 (1667 for HD)

Olympics live streams

NBC’s streaming service, Peacock, will provide coverage of select live events including track & field, gymnastics and basketball. The service, which is free with ads, will also provide original Olympics programming, studio shows, curated playlists, highlights and full event replays from the 2021 Tokyo Games.

A Peacock Premium subscription (no ads) costs $4.99/month.

You can also stream the Olympics on fuboTV, which offers a seven-day free trial.

When do the Olympics start in 2021?

The 2021 Tokyo Olympics technically started with a softball doubleheader on July 20, with the U.S. beating Italy 2-0 and Japan beating Australia 8-1. Several other competitions took place between that doubleheader and the opening ceremony — the official start of the Olympic Games — at 7 a.m. on Friday, July 23.
