What connects mangoes with Naveen Ul-Haq, Virat Kohli, Swiggy, Zomato? Explained

Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) faced a resounding defeat at the hands of Mumbai Indians (MI) in the Eliminator match of the ongoing Indian Premier League. Following the loss, the Super Giants’ pacer, Naveen-Ul-Haq, found himself at the receiving end of merciless trolling with mangoes.

The trolling spree was initiated by ardent fans of Virat Kohli, who wasted no time in taking a jibe at Naveen-Ul-Haq. However, it was Swiggy Instamart that further fueled the mockery by posting a tweet that read, “Someone from Bangalore has just ordered 10kg mangoes.” This humorous tweet caught the attention of IPL 2023 enthusiasts, who responded with a flurry of amusing replies.

Amidst the banter, one witty reply speculated that the mangoes must have been ordered by an individual in London. This reference alludes to the fact that both Anushka Sharma and Virat Kohli departed Mumbai on May 24, with Kohli currently in London for the upcoming World Test Championship final against Australia, scheduled to commence on June 7.

Zomato was one of the first to join the trend. It shared a photo, in which a plate full of mangoes can be seen in front of a television screen showing Naveen-ul-Haq batting. “Not so sweet mangoes,” it wrote on the pic.

Mumbai Indians troll Naveen

Mumbai Indians players, Kumar Kartikeya, Vishnu Vinod, and Sandeep Warrier, responded to Naveen-ul-Haq’s previous actions in a surprising twist after their victorious encounter against LSG in the IPL 2023 Eliminator. The trio captured a photo together at the dining table, with a prominent display of mangoes in the frame.

Both Sandeep Warrier and Vishnu Vinod shared the picture on their Instagram profiles, accompanied by a clever caption that humorously referred to the “Sweet season of mangoes.” However, the posts have since been removed by the players. Nevertheless, the screenshot of their Instagram posts quickly spread among Twitter users, intensifying the banter between the players.

Why are people trolling Naveen-ul-Haw with mangoes?

In a recent encounter between the LSG and RCB, a fiery altercation unfolded, capturing the attention of cricket fans across the nation. Naveen-ul-Haq, a prominent figure in the cricketing world, found himself embroiled in a heated exchange with RCB’s esteemed star, Virat Kohli.

Known for his active presence on social media, Naveen-ul-Haq took to Instagram to express his sentiments following subsequent setbacks faced by RCB. The talented cricketer cleverly used the platform to share stories of sweet mangoes, subtly alluding to the team’s unfavourable performance.

This unexpected move by Naveen-ul-Haq fueled speculation and intensified the already-charged atmosphere surrounding the rivalry between the LSG and RCB.

LSG react

LSG took all the trolling in good humour and shared a screenshot of their Twitter handle muting keywords like mango, mangoes, sweet and aam so that they don’t have to see such posts.

“Issued in our interest,” wrote LSG while adding a laughter emoji.
