WhatsApp Communities offers an efficient method for broadcasting messages to a large audience without the need for individual forwarding. This proves especially advantageous for administrators overseeing multiple groups, as WhatsApp Communities seamlessly consolidates them under a single umbrella. In this guide, we provide in-depth insights into this feature, complemented by a user-friendly, step-by-step tutorial on creating and managing WhatsApp Communities for your convenience. Take a look!
What is WhatsApp Communities?
- WhatsApp Communities is like a parent group for similar topics-based groups. Community admins can add up to 100 groups to a Community and in total have 50 communities.
- Only the admins can send important updates or messages to all members at once through the Announcement Group.
- From the Community Info page, admins can tap on either the Announcement Group or individual groups to start focused chats with them. The messages you send are end-to-end encrypted.
- Now, if admins want to quickly jump between different groups in a Community, they can do that from the Community Info Page or by tapping the Sub-Group Switcher next to the name of the group in the chat window.
- Meanwhile, community members can only reply privately to the admin’s announcement messages. They can’t participate in the announcement group.
- Members can also suggest other groups to the Community, but the admin can reject or remove them.
