WhatsApp for Android beta adds a “Do Not Disturb” flag for missed calls – Times of India

WhatsApp has been introducing a plethora of features recently, and a new one is under development – the “Do Not Disturb” flag for missed calls. The feature lets users know if they missed the call when their phone was in “Do Not Disturb” mode.
The latest beta for WhatsApp on Android version 2.22.24.7 introduces a “Do Not Disturb” flag for missed calls, as per a report from WABetaInfo.
The feature is said to be made available to a selected batch of beta testers, and if you are one of them, you will see the “Silenced by Do Not Disturb” label below missed calls if the person’s phone was on Do Not Disturb mode. However, note that the label will only show up for you — the person who called will not get to know if you missed the call because your phone was put in Do Not Disturb mode.
WABetaInfo notes that the feature will be rolled out to more users in the coming days. However, there is no word on when or if the “Do Not Disturb” flag will be made available to all.
The feature is unique in itself, and none of the other instant messaging apps currently have this. But, you may ask how this could be useful? Well, it might not add any value, but you will get to know if you missed an important call because of the Do Not Disturb mode. And more importantly, the other person could get to know if you missed their call intentionally or because you were busy if they got hold of your phone.
