WhatsApp is testing redesigned Security page on Android – Times of India

WhatsApp is one of the most widely used instant messaging apps in the world and from time to time, Meta keeps adding new features and UI upgrades to the app in beta and some of these features and changes make the cut to the stable build. As per a new report by WABetaInfo, WhatsApp has started testing a minor visual update to its Security notification menu.
The update is a part of WhatsApp beta for Android version 2.23.15.21 and is not rolling out to select beta testers this week.
Based on the screenshot published, the new UI has a redesigned header image that sits at the top centre and the text below is now placed in the center. The text is also rephrased as “WhatsApp protects your privacy”. The text below is also centre aligned now. Apart from that, the key pointers now have new icons and are now separated by a line.
The overall design update brings the page’s design in line with the rest of the app theme and styling. The updated design also makes things more readable and visible.
Note that the new redesigned Security page is rolling out in beta to select beta testers on Android. That means this won’t reflect to other users or beta testers on iOS. It is not yet known when this will arrive in the stable build or whether WhatsApp will extend the same redesign to the iOS app as well.
Enrolling in a beta program is simple. All you need to do is head to the Play Store, search WhatsApp, scroll down and look for the Beta option. Hit the Join Beta button. Once done, wait for a while and then install the update to get the beta version of the app.
