WhatsApp may soon allow iPhone users to search messages in a ‘different’ way – Times of India

WhatsApp has consistently developed and offered new features for its users over the last few years to compete with other messaging services like Telegram and Signal. Moreover, these new updates boost customer engagement on the Meta-owned instant-messaging platform by improving the user experience.
However, the company is now working on a feature (currently being developed only for iOS) for iPhone users and is expected to make searching for messages on chat much easier. Meanwhile, it is important to note that this feature is not a brand-new change as it was first spotted in 2020 and the company is reportedly ready to finally roll out this improvement.

WhatsApp’s new search message feature
WhatsApp is expected to offer users a ‘new’ option to search for a message on a chat just by using the date, reports WABetaInfo. This feature will help users in times when they are sure about the date of a conversation but are unable to recall the texts or keywords to search for in a chat. WhatsApp’s new search message feature will help users to search for messages by just using the date of the conversation.
This new search message feature can be important to discover crucial messages and to recall the chat that took place among group participants or between two individual users on a specific date. WhatsApp is currently developing this feature for iPhone users and is expected to introduce the feature for Android users in the coming days.

WhatsApp to stop working on these iPhones
Apart from this, WhatsApp will stop working on some older iPhones from October 24. Apple iPhone 5 and 5C users need to be aware of the situation as the instant-messaging service will stop releasing support for iPhones running on iOS 10 and 11.
