Meta-owned instant messaging app, WhatsApp recently introduced the polls feature to its Android and iOS users. The company has now started rolling out the new feature for its Windows beta version as well. After installing the most recent 2.2242.0.0 build of WhatsApp beta for Windows, it is now available to some users.
This new update includes shortcuts, online status, and polls creation. With the previous update, WhatsApp desktop users could view and vote for polls created by other group participants but couldn’t create them.
After installing the WhatsApp beta for the Windows 2.2246.2.0 update, some beta testers received the ability to create polls. This feature will gradually be made available to more users over the upcoming days.

Here is how to create Polls on WhatsApp beta version
- Install the WhatsApp beta version on your Windows computer.
- Open WhatsApp and go to the chat or group in which you want to create a poll.
- Click on the attach icon (paperclip icon) available next to the chat bar.
- Then, select the poll option.
- Enter the requisite question and answers.
- Hit the
Send button.
WhatsApp beta users can add up to 12 options to the poll, which is always end-to-end encrypted so that only other people in the same conversation can read and reply to it, as is the case on WhatsApp beta for Android and iOS.
