According to a report by WABetaInfo, to record a video, WhatsApp users have to tap and hold to record a video which becomes complicated when shooting a long-duration video.
Once this new feature is rolled out, users will be able to switch to video mode with just a tap, making it much easier to record videos.
The report further added that the new camera mode is currently under development on WhatsApp beta for iOS and it will be released in a future update.
Meanwhile, WhatsApp is working on a new feature called undo delete messages. WABetaInfo, in its previous report, said that the instant messaging platform has reportedly started rolling out a new beta update on Android that brings a new undo-delete message feature to the platform.
According to the report, the new feature is currently available to a select number of beta testers on Android even if they have installed the latest WhatsApp Beta for the Android 2.22.18.13 update, it is likely that the feature won’t be available for them. However, a wider rollout is expected to happen in the coming weeks.
The report also suggests that users will get a certain time window for Undo delete. This is somewhat similar to what we get with Gmail or other email services where users can undo a sent mail. Although, we currently don’t know how much time WhatsApp will offer for undoing a deleted message.
WhatsApp is also testing a feature for WhatsApp for Windows Desktop client where it offers users to disable notifications for calls. The feature is rolling to select beta testers on WhatsApp beta for Windows version 2.2250.4.0.
