WhatsApp working to roll out this feature for web users – Times of India
WhatsApp is working on a few new features and one of them that has been spotted several times in the last couple of months is the message reactions feature. The feature is currently under development. Once available, it will function similarly to the message reaction feature on Facebook and Instagram. Users on these platforms can react to a message with emojis. As of now, the feature and the other functionalities related to it were only spotted in the beta updates of iOS and Android. Now, as per a report by WABetaInfo, the platform is also working on a feature that will allow web users to receive notification whenever someone reacts to their message.
In a screenshot shared by WABetaInfo, a new ‘Turn of all reaction notifications’ option can be seen in the under notification settings section. The option is under development and not yet available for users but with similar options spotted in various platforms it can be expected that the company will roll out the reactions feature soon. Last week, the platform released a new feature with the beta update that allows WhatsApp web users to explore the Sticker Store. Previously, the users could only send the stickers that were already available in the panel or they had sent or received through the smartphone app. With the new sticker store, users can now search for a sticker to send to another user of a Group.
Last month, the Facebook owned platform also rolled out a feature for web users that allows them to create their own stickers from the images in the gallery. The feature enables users to quickly create a sticker from an image within the platform without using any third party apps. The platform also offers a bunch of editing tools such as Outline, Emoji, Sticker, Text, Paint and Crop & Rotate and further allows users to modify the image.
