West Zone who are a star-studded unit consisting of Cheteshwar Pujara, Suryakumar Yadav, Prithvi Shaw, and Sarfaraz Khan settled for a draw in the 1st Semi-Final against Central Zone and advanced into the finals on the basis of 1st Innings lead. Cheteshwar Pujara who was snubbed from the Indian Test squad for the away two Test matches series against West Indies, struck an excellent 133 runs in the 2nd innings. Prithvi Shaw who has been consistently ignored by the Indian selectors over the last year didn’t leave an impression as he just managed to score 26 and 25 in the 1st and 2nd innings respectively.
