Xbox Elite Series 2 Core Red And Blue Controller Preorders Are Now Live

Xbox Elite Series 2 Core Red And Blue Controller Preorders Are Now Live

The Xbox Elite Series 2 is a fantastic update on an already terrific controller, and if you’re in the market to get one but you’re not too fond of the default black and white color schemes, then two more vibrant options are now available. These versions of the premium controller feature a blue or red design, wrapping the majority of the peripheral in a more eye-catching design.

Outside of the new star-spangled colors, these are still the same excellent controllers for use on Xbox consoles, PC, and mobile devices. While the overall size and shape is similar to the standard Xbox wireless controller, the Elite Series 2 features a more premium build and components. It has adjustable-tension thumbsticks, wrap-around rubberized grip, and shorter hair-trigger locks.

It also comes with added customization features that can be set up in the Xbox Accessories app, and you’ll be able to switch between three custom profiles on the fly. The other big plus with this controller is its battery life, as it can last up to 40 hours from a full charge. It’s worth noting that this controller is missing a few extras that you’d find in the more expensive Elite Series 2 bundles, so if you want the full experience, you’ll need to chip in some extra cash.

The “Core” version of the Elite Series 2 controller does not come with swappable components such as the back paddles and extra thumbstick caps. If you want to add additional components, however, there are plenty of great third-party options you can snag for low prices. You can grab the superb SCUF Elite Series 2 paddles that sport a stainless steel design or the slightly cheaper TOMSIN version. For an all-in-one package, the Comet South collection of interchangeable thumbsticks, D-pads, and replacement parts is pretty good value for money.
