Xbox Game Pass Subscription Finally Available Through Retail in India as PC Offering Expands

Xbox Game Pass Ultimate digital subscription codes can now be purchased in India through retail. Xbox has officially listed the Xbox Game Pass membership digital codes on Amazon.

Those in India can get the Xbox Game Pass Ultimate 1-month and 3-month subscriptions on Amazon as of now. It remains to be seen when the 1-year subscription codes will be made available by Microsoft in the future.

It’s interesting to note that Microsoft Xbox Series X|S launched back in November 2020. However, the digital availability of the codes through online retail has just now been made available, as pointed out by games analyst Rishi Alwani on Twitter.

Xbox Game Pass Ultimate 1 month membership is selling for Rs. 499 on Amazon. As for the 3-month subscription, it is available for the price of Rs. 1,499 on Amazon.

That is actually a cheaper value for gamers than what they have to pay for a monthly subscription when buying it directly from Microsoft due to the GST applied. With GST, the value of a month’s subscription rises to ₹588.

Third-party scammers

There have been various third-party sellers of the Xbox Game Pass digital codes on Amazon prior to this.

Naturally, some of those sellers are scammers who have been asking for login details from users, claiming that it is needed for their purchase and to activate their Game Pass subscription.

Now that the Game Pass Ultimate subscriptions are officially available for Xbox, gamers are advised to be cautious and make their purchases through official and trusted sellers.

PC Game Pass in 40 countries

PC Game Pass has been launched in 40 countries following a preview programme that started in February. It offered users to subscribe for “a special testing price” for the first month.

Players who signed up for that offer will be receiving two months of PC Game Pass membership for free in these countries.

Microsoft also said that “a special welcome offer” will be made available to new members for a limited time.
