Xiaomi 13 Ultra set to launch on April 18 – Times of India
After teasing the Xiaomi 13 Ultra earlier this month, Xiaomi has revealed the date for the launch of its upcoming flagship smartphone. The company will be unveiling its next flagship smartphone – the Xiaomi 13 Ultra – in China on April 18.
The teaser for the Xiaomi 13 Ultra shows a large circular camera module on the back of the smartphone with four sensors and Leica Vario-Summicron branding, suggesting that the smartphone will feature a Leica lens.
Xiaomi 13 Ultra: What to expect
From the leaked renders, the smartphone can be seen having a curved screen. As per the rumours, the Xiaomi 13 Ultra will feature a 6.7-inch LTPO E6 AMOLED panel from Samsung. The display is said to have QHD+ resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. Furthermore, the smartphone might come with IP68 certification.
Under the hood, the smartphone is expected to have Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 paired with up to 16GB of LPDDR5X RAM and 512GB of UFS 4.0 internal storage. The smartphone might run MIUI 14 on top of Android 13.
Rumours suggest that the Xiaomi 13 Ultra will pack in a 4900mAh battery. The smartphone is said to support 90W wired fast charging and 50W wireless fast charging.
In terms of optics, the Xiaomi 13 Ultra is said to have a 1-inch 50MP sensor, the Sony IMX989 with a f/1.8 aperture lens. Then, there could be a 50MP ultra-wide lens. Also, the smartphone is expected to offer two 50MP telephoto cameras – one paired with a telephoto lens. Further, the Xiaomi 13 Ultra should offer Leica-tuned optics, similar to previous Leica-partnered Xiaomi flagships. Rumours are rife that the smartphone will offer variable aperture for the main camera. On the front, we can expect a 32MP camera for selfies.
Although, Xiaomi has confirmed that the Xiaomi 13 Ultra will launch globally, there is no word on when the Xiaomi 13 Ultra will launch globally. However, we expect the smartphone to make it to global markets a few months after its launch in China.
