Xiaomi announces MIUI 14 early access program ahead of December 1 launch – Times of India

Xiaomi 13 series is set to launch in China on December 1. Ahead of the launch, the Chinese smartphone maker has announced an early access program for MIUI 14. The upcoming UI is based on the Android 13 operating system and will be launched alongside the Xiaomi 13 series. Early access program allows users to gain early access to the latest software prior to its official rollout.
According to a report by ITHome, Xiaomi has opened registrations for the testing of the new MIUI iteration. Xiaomi started its MIUI 14 testing on November 28 which will run through December 28 till 11:59 PM, the report said.
Users can register for the program only through a single device (either smartphone or a tablet) in order to gain early access for the yet-to-be-launched MIUI14, the report says. It also mentions that the early access will be rolled out in a phased manner and the update will be limited to users in China.

Xiaomi 13 series specifications
Ahead of the December 1 launch, the company has revealed some key specifications of the upcoming lineup.
The Xiaomi 13 series will be powered by the Qualcomm’s latest Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset. Xiaomi says that the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset brings a 37% boost in multi-core operations and a 42% increase in single-core performance compared to the Apple A16 Bionic chip.
Here’s what else Xiaomi will launch
Xiaomi will also be announcing a bunch of other products, including Watch S2 and Buds 4 earphones. The company will also unveil the MIUI 14 alongside the Xiaomi 13 series.
The Xiaomi Watch S2 is the successor to the Watch S1, while the Buds 4 succeeds the Buds 3, which was launched last year.
The company would also launch its first-ever desktop PC, along with a new WiFi router and a projector.
