Xiaomi India 1 lakh Smart TVs sold in 3 days | 91mobiles.com


The Indian unit of Xiaomi today announced that it had sold 100K or 1 lakh Smart TVs in less than 3 days of festive sale across different e-commerce platforms. Xiaomi TVs were available at a discounted price during Xiaomi’s Diwali with Mi, Amazon Great Indian Shopping Festival, and Flipkart’s Big Billion Days sale. The company says that it recorded a 53x growth in the demand for 4K TVs.

Xiaomi says that during the first leg of Diwali sales, 8 out of 10 best-selling TVs on Amazon were from Xiaomi and Redmi. Further, according to the company, customers had shown the most interest in Redmi Smart TV X 50-inch, Mi TV 4A 32-inch, Mi TV 5X 43-inch.

Eshwar Nilakantan, Category Lead, SmartTV, Xiaomi India, said, “When we entered the segment for Smart TV’s we identified the market potential and wanted to fill in certain gaps. Our aim is to provide ‘Smart TV Innovation for every Indian Home’. We believe that our line-up across Mi and Redmi has been able to drive the next level of Smart TV penetration in the country, thereby becoming a household name in the market.

Xiaomi Smart TVs are still available in the festive sale at a discounted price. The Redmi Smart TV X series can be purchased at a discount of up to Rs 7,000. Further, customers interested can purchase the Redmi Smart TV 32-inch for Rs 13,249 and the 43-inch model for Rs 22,749. The Mi TV 5X series will also be available at a discount of up to Rs 3,000. Meanwhile, customers interested in 4K TVs can purchase Mi TV QLED 4K and Mi TV QLED 75 for Rs 57,749 and Rs 1,23,749.
