Xiaomi has expanded its streaming device portfolio with the launch of its latest Xiaomi TV 4K Stick in India. The new Android TV-powered streaming stick from the company supports 4K resolution. Along with this, it also comes with support for Dolby Atmos, Dolby Vision, Chromecast, Google Assistant and more. The new streaming stick comes as the spiritual successor to the Mi TV stick which only supports Full HD resolution, but also runs on the Android TV operating system, and supports Chromecast and Google Assistant as well.

The main difference between the two is the streaming resolution support. The regular Mi TV only supports up to FHD resolution, while the Xiaomi TV 4K Stick supports UHD resolution streaming. In addition to this, the regular version only offers Dolby Audio and HDR 10 support. On the other hand, the 4K version supports both Dolby Atmos as well as Dolby Vision out-of-the-box.
The differences do not end here. The older version is powered by a quad-core Cortex A53 chipset with Mali-450 GPU. It also comes with only 1GB RAM. The 4K version, on the other hand, is powered by quad-core Cortex-A35 with Mali-G31 MP2 GPU. The device comes with 8GB RAM and runs Android TV 11 operating system.
