Last month Xiaomi unveiled the Xiaomi 12 series of smartphones globally. The Xiaomi 12 series consists of three smartphones — Xiaomi 12, Xiaomi 12 Pro and Xiaomi 12X. Now, the company is gearing up to launch the flagship Xiaomi 12 Pro 5G smartphone in India. The company announced the launch of Xiaomi 12 Pro 5G in a Twitter post. Although the company has not revealed the exact launch date of the device, it has also started to tease the smartphone of Amazon. This means that Xiaomi 12 Pro 5G will be sold on Amazon.com once it is launched in the country.
The smartphone is powered by the flagship Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chipset. It rumoured that the smartphone will have similar specs as its Chinese counterpart. Keeping the specs of the smartphone in mind, it will directly stack against the newly launched premium smartphones from OnePlus and Samsung.
Xiaomi 12 Pro specifications
The Xiaomi 12 Pro sports a 6.7-inch WQHD+ AMOLED LTPO display that comes with a 120Hz refresh rate. The display comes with a peak brightness of 1500 nits and has Gorilla Glass Victus for protection.
Under the hood, the Xiaomi 12 Pro is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chipset, coupled with up to 12GB of LPDDR5 RAM and up to 256GB of UFS 3.1 internal storage.
The smartphone has a triple-camera setup at the rear comprising a 50MP primary lens that supports OIS (Optical Image Stabilisation) and a 50MP ultra-wide lens and a 50MP telephoto lens. It also comes with a 32MP front camera sensor for selfies and video calls.
This smartphone comes with an in-display fingerprint for authentication and is also equipped with NFC. It also comes with dual speakers from Harman Kardon. It is backed by a 4,600mAh battery that supports 120W fast charging, 50W wireless charging, 10W reverse wireless charging.
