Xiaomi recently unveiled the first smartphone of its flagship series Xiaomi 12 in India. The newly launched Xiaomi 12 Pro 5G features a Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chipset and a 50MP triple rear camera setup will go on its first sale today (May 2). The sale is scheduled to start at 12 pm and the device will be made available on Xiaomi’s official website and e-tailer website Amazon. The company posted a tweet about the sale date and also announced the same on its official page’s microsite. The top model of the phone also features 120W fast charging support and is likely to compete against other flagships like the OnePlus 10 Pro.
Xiaomi 12 Pro 5G price, offers and availability
The newly unveiled Xiaomi 12 Pro 5G smartphones start at Rs 62,999 for the base model with 8GB RAM and 256GB internal storage. Whereas the top variant with 12GB RAM and 256GB storage comes for Rs 66,999. The smartphone will be available at Mi.com and Amazon India website. The devices will have three different colour options — Couture Blue, Noir Black and Olive Mauve.
The company is offering customers with ICICI Bank cards an instant discount of Rs 6,000 along with an introductory discount of Rs 4,000 on both smartphone variants. Xiaomi is also offering 100 per cent off on exchange devices which is up to Rs 20,000.
Xiaomi 12 Pro 5G specifications
The Xiaomi 12 Pro 5G smartphone sports a 6.73-inch WQHD+ AMOLED display that supports up to a 120Hz refresh rate as the LTPO 2.0 panel allows adaptive refresh rate that can go down to 1Hz. For a better gaming experience, the device has a touch sampling rate of 480Hz. The phone is powered by the flagship Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 processor, coupled with up to 12 GB RAM and 256GB internal storage. The handset also supports Dolby Atmos and features a quad-speaker setup by Harmon Kardon
Xiaomi 12 Pro houses a triple rear camera setup that includes — a 50MP Sony IMX707 wide-angle primary sensor, a 50MP telephoto lens and a 50MP ultra-wide-angle camera. The handset features a 32MP front camera for selfies and video calls.
The device packs a 4600mAh battery that supports 120W HyperCharge technology, a 50W wireless fast charge and 10W reverse charging. Xiaomi claims that the phone takes to 18-minutes to fully charge under the boost mode, while in standard mode the device takes almost 24-minutes to charge. The Xiaomi 12 Pro will run on MIUI 13 based on Android 12 and the company has promised to offer 3 years of Android updates and 4 years of security updates.
